The Headteacher is our school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). If you have any concerns relating to matters of children or family safety, you can report these directly to them. If concerns are raised with any other member of staff, they will be passed to the DSL for consideration of action. In the absence of the headteacher, Mrs Kalchev and Miss Rawlings are the schools Deputy DSL's. Please see are Safegarding Policy for further information (select "Policies" tab).
For children who are in the Early Years, Mrs Bradbury is the Key Worker.
Our DSL and DDSLs:
Our SENCO, Mrs Kalchev, has also completed full DSL training. This enables her to support Children In Need and Team Around the Child meetings,
Whilst you are always welcome to come into school with any concerns, you can also contact the schools DSL by completing the form here.
The DSL will pick up messages whenever children are engaged with school activities (including those offsite or residential), but if you do not get a swift acknowledgement please contact us on 01522 750601 or come into school.
Always call 999 if you believe a child is in immediate risk of danger!
This is a national scheme which runs jointly between all schools and the police. Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools, prior to the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has experienced any domestic abuse.
Operation Encompass will ensure that a member of the school's staff – the Designated Safeguarding Lead, is trained to allow them to liaise with the police and to use the information that has been shared in confidence, while ensuring that the school is able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have recently experienced a domestic abuse incident.
We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our pupils, and we believe this will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.
This information shared with the school is already covered in the schools’ existing privacy notice. For further information in relation to how personal data in relation to yourself and your child(ren) is processed, please refer to Lincolnshire Police’s privacy notice which can be found on their website here: https://www.lincs.police.uk/resource-library/data-protection/privacy-notice/.
With the school summer holidays either recently started or just around the corner, and coming out of a pandemic, we are looking forward to children and young people enjoying a summer of their favourite activities and spending more time with family and friends.
With changes in routine and childcare, the school holidays also raise a number of questions for parents. You may have concerns about additional time spent online, whether your child is old enough to be left at home alone and what to do if you have concerns about your child, or are worried about a child. NSPCC have provided some resources to help you make informed decisions. Please select the link below.
So, whether you are a parent of children yourself, or can share this with parents you know, here are some of our top resources.
