Certain School policies are under review. If you have comments about any policies you are invited to send them to the governors and they will be viewed before further updates are ratified. Please note some policies state they are 'to be reviewed every 2 years' , inline with current guidence this has now has been extended to every 3 years, this does not include any annual stautuory policies.
As a Local Authority School we have elected to follow Lincolnshire County Councils Admissions and Appeals Policy. This was ratified at the Spring Governors meeting.

New Reception application:
In summary the school follows the policy which sees places offered on the following grounds:
1) Where a child is 'looked after' or have Special Educational Needs that the school can meet
2) The child is a sibling
3) Distance from school, following the LA's criteria
Mid Year Transfer:
If a space is available in a year group then a child applying mid year will be allocated that spot. If there are no spaces then the school refuses the place. Parents and careers will then have grounds to appeal following the Local Authority Policy. The school is always follows policy and will admit children if directed by the Local Authority.
Things to note:
We always recommend you speak to your original school and express reasons for wanting to leave, to see if these can be resolved, before placing a mid year appeal.
We always recommend you speak to our school before putting in a mid year appeal to get up-to-date information.
We get many appeals in school and the Local Authority will process them on the order in which they receive them, talking to the school does not guarantee we know about other applications.
If you are appealing for more than once child then you may be allocated a space for one and not the other, the sibling policy does not count for mid year transfers.
If you decide to appeal please ensure you have a clear reason to make the process run more smoothly.
If you appeal and it is upheld (no space given) the school will place your child on a waiting list until the end of that academic year, at which point all names are removed.
