Children in these year groups can complete their work on Google Classrooms.
There are video guides below that show you how to access Google Drive through the app or via a computer web browser. Please ensure you watch the correct video.
Here is a direct link to Google Classrooms login on a web browser
Download the Google Classroom App to an ipad: Please note your ipad must be running ios 10 or above. if you are running ios 9 and cant update, DO NOT download the app, try accessing it via the web browser or contact the school to have the pupils ipad sent home.
We also recommend downloading Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Meet to ensure pupils can complete work.
These videos show you how to use Google Classrooms on an iPad or tablet, you must first download the "Google Classrooms App" from your app store.
Please Note: sometimes the first time you use a document you may be asked to download other apps or log in. If you ever get "lost" in the app it usually says "classrooms" in the top left corner, which will take you back.
Update to completing PDF worksheets: on most tablets, including the school iPads, you should be able to fill in PDF worksheets directly by pressing the "pencil" icon at the bottom of the screen, or pressing the "text box" and placing it where required.
If you do this method rather than printing it or doing it on paper, make sure you press "SAVE" and you should see it upload as if you were adding an attachment.
Hint: remember to press "classwork" once you've logged in.
Hint: you can fill in the PDF on most tablets by pressing the pencil, remember to "save" it then "hand in"
Hint: remember to make it "live" when you get the preview screen.
Hint: this is an easy way of sending any work back.

As you become a more advanced user, Google Classrooms has other great features. This video shows you how you can check the marking on work you have already submitted.
On an ipad press the "Square with a Circle in" on the top right of the "classwork" page to see a list of activities, any marked will have a score and if there is a little black "Speech mark" that means there is a private comment on the work from the teacher.
The policies below also relate to safely accessing home learning. You should also consider the information in the "e-safety" tab of this website and the Child Protection Safeguarding Policy in the "Policies" tab
