Mental Health & Wellbeing

Supporting Children and Young People Mental Health and Wellbeing at home

Remember that it is normal for children and adults to feel anxious and scared at times.

• At school, children are used to a set routine and structure, as well as time to play outside. We recommend during long periods at home (such as National Lockdown) you start immediately with some sort of routine, rather than allow several weeks of complete freedom and then try to impose rules when the behaviours deteriorate.

For example:

  • Make a timetable for the day, including reading, online learning and craft projects
  • Remember exercise: You could use Joe Wick’s live workouts on his PE with Joe YouTube channel
  • Don’t forget to have a break at some point in the morning!
  • If you have any safeguarding concerns the school has 3 designated safeguarding leads. Their may be times when they are working remotely- The best contact during closure time is to email school@reepham.lincs.sch.uk
  • If you want to make a referal directly to Lincolnshire Safeguarding Board about a concern you have, you can contact the Social Care team directly on 01522 782111 There is more information on the safeguarding tab.

• We recommend limiting the use of games consoles to specific times and monitoring activities (please see our e-safety page)
