At Reepham Church of England Primary School, Collective Worship is a valued and central part of our school life. It brings our whole community together to reflect, celebrate, and grow spiritually.

We believe that every child and adult is unique, loved by God, and has gifts to nurture and share. Through worship, we create opportunities for all to explore faith, reflect on values, and celebrate achievements within a caring, inclusive environment.

Our worship is invitational, inclusive, and inspiring — open to everyone, whatever their beliefs.

Through Collective Worship, children have opportunities to:

• Learn about our Christian values such as love, hope, forgiveness, friendship, respect, and responsibility.
• Celebrate achievements and special moments together.
• Reflect quietly and pray, if they wish.
• Explore the beauty of the world and their responsibilities within it.
• Understand and respect people of all faiths and backgrounds.

 Our Weekly Worship Pattern                                       

 Each week, our worship follows a familiar rhythm:

• Monday: Whole-school worship focused on our Christian vision and values.
• Tuesday: Choral worship with prayer and reflection.
• Wednesday: Class worship using Picture News to link faith and current events.
• Thursday: Value-themed worship led by staff, clergy, pupils or visitors, often using the Roots and Fruits resource.
• Friday: Celebration Worship — we give thanks, share achievements, and celebrate those living out our school values.

Inclusion and Respect

We welcome children and families of all faiths and none. Our worship celebrates diversity and encourages understanding and respect.
Parents have the legal right to withdraw their child from worship, but we invite you to talk with the Headteacher first if you are considering this.

We ensure that every child can take part — using a variety of stories, songs, images, and activities suited to different ages.

Belonging to a Community

Collective Worship helps us to grow together as a school family and connect with our wider community, including our local church.
Through acts of service and reflection, children learn the importance of love, courage, and responsibility — helping them become confident and compassionate members of society.
