Our History

Reepham Church of England School is a Primary School providing education for children aged 4 to 11. The School, though a state school, is called a “Church of England Controlled School”. This means that the School operates as a County School but the Church appoints some of our governors and the Vicar is a member of the Governing Body.

The school was built originally in 1859 by the efforts of the Reverend J Jones at a cost of £350!  Further classrooms and offices were added, until 1873 the school was placed under Government control and in 1951 became Reepham Church of England Controlled Primary School.  In 1988 two new classrooms and a library area were built. In 1993 a further £500,000 was spent on the school, providing three new classrooms, a hall and an administration block. A further classroom, for Class 2, was built in 1999. A new I.C.T. suite was built in the courtyard during 2003. A small multi purpose room was built in 2006. Over the summer of 2013 some additional renovation was completed, including have a specific modern Reception Classroom fitted. The school became the school it is now in 2015 when we had a further conversion to go to single age classes, this resulted in the school expanding to being at capacity when there is around 190 pupils.

Our history is rich and wonderful, and we would love you to be part of our future!
